About This Course

Shopware Business Improvement Philosophy is a detailed approach to improving an organisations competitiveness through the application of tried and tested Lean Methods.

In this series of videos, we will introduce the overall model for business excellence which consists of being world class in defining, costing, and pricing your Value Offering and supporting this Value Offering with a world class Value Delivery System.

The Value Offering component is based on Michael Porter’s research on competitive strategy as well as Grenzplankostenrechnung (GPK) Activity Based Costing. GPK is a German Approach to product and business profitability management.

The approach to strengthening the Value Delivery System is based on recognised world best manufacturing practices as well as 5 levels of Lean Excellence:

Level 1: Visual Management of Waste

Level 2: Application of Lean Tools

Level 3: Implementation of Kaizen

Level 4: Creation of Flow

Level 5: Integrating all functions to create a Lean Organisation. This is a natural outcome of implementing Value Offering and Value Delivery initiatives within the Shopware framework.
