Module Training: Asset Care Shopware

Enrollment in this course is by invitation only

About This Course

The ShopWare Asset Care module incorporates asset maintenance best practices that have been developed over the past twenty years within diverse manufacturing environments. ShopWare Asset Care has been engineered to facilitate the implementation and management of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), consisting of Planned Maintenance, Unplanned maintenance and Operator TPM/ First Line Maintenance.

Operator TPM/ First Line Maintenance tasks are allocated to operators to complete while Planned Maintenance Tasks are allocated to Artisans to complete.

Artisans and machine operators are empowered to use a simple graphic user interface that is easy to interpret and easy to use to record all maintenance activities. Paper is essentially removed from all maintenance activities as the ShopWare Asset Care Job Card provides complete traceability. Digital copies of asset maintenance manuals and standard operating procedures can also be associated to specific assets and accessed via the ShopWare system.

Key performance indicators such as RT (Response Time), TOH (Time On Hold) and TTF (Time To Fix) are calculated automatically and gives insight into a maintenance team’s ability to successfully respond to maintenance requests.

Planned maintenance activities can be scheduled based on elapsed run time, machine cycles completed or calendar intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, 3-monthly, 6-monthly or annually). Operator TPM/ First Line Maintenance activities are made visible at the machine operator’s work area via the Shop Ware PMI module. Operators are therefore empowered to assist maintenance in maintaining assets.

Asset Care Tooling provides a complete tooling maintenance solution. Tools are associated to specific products and tooling cycles completed are recorded when the associated products are run. Tooling maintenance activities are then automatically triggered when pre-set thresholds are reached.

Asset Care Stores assist in the management of critical maintenance spares. Required spares are associated to Planned Maintenance Jobs and spare part inventory levels that exceed pre-set inventory re-order levels are highlighted.

The Asset Care Asset Register enables users to associate asset numbers (typically assigned by financial systems) to assets.
